What does AML mean in FOOD & NUTRITION

A major label, or AML, is a type of record label that helps musicians get live shows and tours, merchandise sales, distribution deals, digital downloads and streaming opportunities.

Generally speaking there are three ways how to get signed with a major label - through an Artist & Repertoire (A&R) representative from the company discovering you directly; through an entertainment lawyer submitting your material; working with industry contacts who have connections at the label.

Signing with a major label does not necessarily guarantee success as it ultimately depends on the music that you create — if you create great songs then your chances of becoming successful will increase significantly regardless of which label you are signed to.

Yes there can be some potential risks associated with signing a deal with a major record company including loss of creative control over your music as well as potentially being locked into long-term contracts that may not be favorable.
