The Army Achievement Medal is a U.S. military decoration awarded for outstanding achievement or meritorious service in a combat or non-combat role. It was first created in 1985 and is awarded to recognize individual or unit accomplishments that are significantly above normal expectations.

The Army Achievement Medal may be awarded to any member of the United States Armed Forces, including members of the Reserve Components, who has distinguished himself/herself by outstanding achievement or meritorious service while serving with friendly foreign forces cooperating with the U.S. forces in an armed conflict, under circumstances other than those which would qualify for award of an Army Commendation Medal (ACM).
