What does WMJ mean in MEDICAL

World Medical Journal (WMJ) is a monthly peer-reviewed medical journal that focuses on original research, clinical practice, and reviews pertinent to medicine and health care. WMJ seeks to present its readers with the highest quality medical knowledge available in order to ensure excellent patient care.

Yes — manuscripts should typically not exceed 4500 words including references but excluding abstracts and tables/figures/images etc., if any are included. The maximum number of figures/tables/images included in any manuscript must usually not exceed 5 (or 6 if necessary).

All accepted manuscripts undergo a double-blind review process whereby both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the entire evaluation period until final acceptance or rejection has been determined by our editorial team following thorough analysis of submitted materials provided by both authors and reviewers alike.

When a manuscript is rejected after undergoing review process at WMJ, we endeavour to provide authors with constructive feedback so they will understand why certain elements did not meet our standards for publishing consideration as defined within our author guidelines mentioned above.

If a submitted manuscript does not meet our criteria for publishing within WMJ due to topics being outside our field(s) of interest we will refer authors elsewhere (should they wish), advising them which journals might better suit their needs concerning potential subsequent submission attempts as applicable.
