Teaching school alliances are organisations of schools and colleges working together to provide training and professional development for their teachers. The teaching school alliance will then coordinate the sharing of that expertise and experience among their members to facilitate improvement in overall standards.

Typically there aren't any special requirements imposed by the Teaching School Alliance itself; however member schools must be prepared to meet any additional requirements stipulated by affiliated external organisations if partaking in particular activities such as National Professional Qualifications (NPQs).

This will depend on each individual situation but some Alliances do allow non-membership organisations/institutions subscribing to certain provisions if they demonstrate eligibility regarding appropriate criteria such as location etc.
