What does PLDP mean in DEVELOPMENT

The Professional Language Development Project (PLDP) is a program created by the Center for Applied Linguistics to improve language skills in non-native speakers. The project focuses on developing a wide range of language and communication skills, such as reading, writing, speaking and listening.

The PLDP program covers topics related to reading, writing, speaking and listening. It also emphasizes cultural competency and sensitivity to help participants understand how their words affect others in different contexts.

Any adult with limited English proficiency is eligible for the PLDP Program; however certain criteria must be met before acceptance into the program.
