What does ARF mean in ANIMALS

Animal Rescue of Fresno (ARF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing at-risk animals and providing them with compassionate, responsible homes. ARF was founded in 1998 and has since provided adoption and safety services for thousands of homeless cats and dogs.

ARF primarily supports cats and dogs, though we are open to other species in need of a forever home.

Absolutely! We love having volunteers come in and help us out with our work caring for homeless animals! Volunteers have the opportunity to play with & exercise the animals, help clean up their enclosures & areas around the shelter, transport animals between locations & take part in fundraising initiatives & other duties as necessary.

Yes! The work that we do relies heavily on donations from generous members of our community whether it be money or supplies like blankets & food for the rescued pets. Donations can be made online or dropped off directly at one of our locations.

Yes! Throughout the year we host fun events like “Paws in The Park” where people can come out to spend quality time with pet owners while supporting homeless animals. We also host adoption days at local pet stores where people can meet some adoptable pets up close & personal.
