What does CEBC mean in COUNCIL

The California Environmental Business Council (CEBC) is a non-profit organization that focuses on promoting sustainable environmental practices and increasing market opportunities for green businesses in the state of California. It provides resources, advocacy and education to its members to help them succeed in their sustainability goals.

Becoming a member of CEBC requires meeting certain eligibility requirements. These include having your business registered with the state and meeting CEBC’s criteria for green businesses. After submitting an application, you will be asked to submit supporting documents, such as articles of incorporation or proof of registration as a green business. Yes! To join as an individual or corporate member, there is an annual fee associated with membership depending on your company size or individual status. Corporate dues range from $100-$10k annually depending on number of employees/assets/etc., while individual dues are listed at $35/year. In addition there may be other costs associated with specific activities such as certifications or events which vary depending on circumstances.

Although CEBC does not directly fund its members' operations or projects individually outside of what may be available through grants specifically available for this purpose we can often match interest areas between potential grantors/funders/investment sources interested in supporting sound eco-friendly projects & initiatives pursued by our members which could result in additional funding available for qualified pursuits.
