What does ALDC mean in LAW & LEGAL

The primary purpose of ALDC is to promote diversity, inclusion, and belonging in legal professions and activities within the Atlanta region.

ALDC offers a variety of initiatives including mentorship programs, networking events, scholarships and other forms of financial assistance for students pursuing legal studies. They also provide educational programs focused on developing skills related to increasing diversity within the legal field.

Organizations that partner with ALDC include law firms, corporations, universities, professional associations, law libraries, community organizations and other non-profits supporting diverse populations interested in entering the legal profession.

Individuals from all backgrounds are welcome to join ALDC as members. Lawyers from various ethnic backgrounds may apply for membership as well as representatives from various corporate entities such as law firms or professional associations interested in promoting diversity within their organizations. Additionally, individuals who are passionate about transformational social change are able to become volunteers or interns with the organization.

Individuals may become involved by joining as a member or volunteering with specific initiatives offered by the organization. Additionally people may make donations either through monetary means or by becoming sponsors at certain annual events hosted by the organization. These events often feature prominent keynote speakers who discuss topics related to promoting sustainable changes within the legal industry using technology or advocacy methods.
