What does EAS mean in ACADEMIC & SCIENCE

The purpose of the Engineering and Applied Sciences faculty is to produce high-quality graduates who are prepared for a wide variety of engineering or applied science disciplines. As well, we strive to increase knowledge through research and create impact on the local and global community.

In the Engineering and Applied Sciences faculty, you can enroll in courses related to computer engineering, mechatronics engineering, electronics engineering, mathematical sciences, physics, chemistry, mechanical engineering as well as other fields of study related to engineering and applied sciences.

Yes! We offer our students access to state-of-the-art laboratories in order to facilitate projects and experiments related to their studies. These laboratories also offer ample opportunities for research activities supervised by expert staff members.

Absolutely! Our faculty offers a number of student societies such as Pi Tau Sigma (Mechanical Engineering Honor Society), Tau Beta Pi (Engineering Honor Society), National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), Women in Science & Engineering (WISE) and many more. Our students are encouraged to join these organizations which provide support systems and valuable networking opportunities.

All programs under the faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences are accredited by relevant professional bodies such as ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering Technology), Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and UK Royal Academy of Engineering (UKRAE). This ensures that our programs meet international standards and help our graduates gain advantages in the job market.

Yes! We have an International Student Support Office that provides assistance with immigration matters, visa application process and general guidance about living in the UK. We also provide exclusive workshops regarding academic skills such as referencing styles or how to write an essay effectively.

Our faculty proudly offers joint degree programs with top universities around the world that allow you gain both an undergraduate bachelor's degree from University X together with a postgraduate master’s degree from University Y.
