What does IORC mean in COUNCIL

The Idaho Organization of Resource Councils (IORC) is a grassroots organization made up of seven local resource councils in Idaho that are dedicated to preserving and protecting our environment, land, water, wildlife and other natural resources. We work to ensure that our state values are upheld by balancing environmental stewardship and responsible economic development.

IORC provides public forums and organizing opportunities for citizens to work together on finding solutions related to proper land use and resource management. We also work collaboratively with elected officials, government agencies, businesses, industry groups and other stakeholders to ensure strong protections for our environment.
