What does ESO mean in SCHOOLS

ESO stands for European School Oncology and it is an organization dedicated to promoting optimal quality of cancer care across Europe.

ESO offers educational activities and training for professionals involved in the treatment and care of cancer patients, including physicians, nurses, researchers, healthcare administrators and policy makers.

The main goal of ESO is to promote high standards of care regardless of geographical location or socio-economic background. Other objectives include providing comprehensive medical education materials; encouraging collaboration among different countries; developing evidence-based practices; and advocating for improved access to treatments and resources necessary for effective outcomes.

ESO has been active since 1988 when it was founded by the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO). Since then, it has grown into an international network that includes over 1,000 members from 41 countries all working together to improve cancer care throughout Europe.

There are many ways you can get involved with ESO! You can become a member which entitles you to access educational materials, attend training workshops and participate in committee meetings. You can also sign up as a volunteer or donate funds to support their work in advancing cancer research and improving patient outcomes across Europe.
