The Advanced European Union (AEU) is an organization that works to foster cooperation, collaboration and integration between its member countries. The AEU has developed an extensive body of policies related to foreign affairs, trade cooperation, security policy and environmental protection. These policies aim to promote free movement within Europe as well as create opportunities for increased prosperity throughout its member countries. Additionally it strives to protect human rights and maintain a peaceful diplomatic relationship with non-member nations.

The AEU is governed by a set of treaties that spell out common objectives and establish principles by which members must abide in order to remain part of this organisation. The Council acts on behalf of the entire membership whilst executive authority rests with four main institutions including; Commission - which initiates proposals for integrating laws in designated policy areas, Council — representing Member States at ministerial level who take decisions after consultation with Parliament — representing citizens who can approve or reject legislative proposals put forward by Commission or amend it in accordance with their wishes before passing into law.

Legislation within AEU is created through two major processes called ‘ordinary legislative procedure' (co-decision procedure) or ‘consultation procedure' depending on whether new laws concern only one particular state or concerns several states together (e.g., competition policy). In addition there are specialized committees composed from experts from each Member State working in conjunction with relevant bodies (e.g., environment) where specific legislation can be drafted without going through this process.
