What does CCVO mean in COUNCIL

The Council of Chief Veterinary Officers (CCVO) is a network of government ministers from around the world that are responsible for providing strategic advice on animal health and welfare issues. CCVO works to improve international collaboration and dialogue between countries to help create healthier, safer and more humane environments for animals.

The Council of Chief Veterinary Officers is comprised of veterinary officers from 28 different countries who work together in an advisory capacity. Each member country has a dedicated representative who provides expert opinion on matters relating to animal welfare standards, disease control and public health policy.
