Can I ride with an ambulance during an emergency?
Unfortunately no, only medically trained personnel are allowed to accompany patients in a transporting ambulance for safety reasons.
Does VEMS provide care outside the Villanova University Campus?
While VEMS does not provide services outside of our service area at Villanova University, we are able to coordinate mutual aid with local EMS providers if needed.
How long does it take for an ambulance to arrive after calling 911?
It depends on many factors such how far away the nearest available ambulance is located, traffic conditions, etc., but most calls are answered within two minutes after they are received by 911 dispatch personnel.
