What does ANH mean in ASIAN

ANH stands for Agriculture, Nutrition & Health. It is an effort to improve the lives of smallholder farmers and their families through research, training and support to ensure healthy and sustainable local food systems.

ANH focuses on increasing access to nutritious foods, as well as improving food production practices and animal husbandry.

ANH conducts both primary research with rural communities in low-income countries and secondary research into existing development programs in various fields such as nutrition, agriculture, health care delivery and social protection. They also create evidence-based reports that can be used by policy makers for improved decision making processes related to global health challenges like malnutrition.

Smallholder farmers and their families benefit from ANH's initiatives which include providing better tools for growing crops, improving sustainable farming techniques, promoting nutrition education among families, expanding access to potable water sources in rural areas and ensuring proper waste management within those communities.

ANH works both directly with individuals on the ground as well as engaging with governments and other organizations at a policy level, advocating for improved policies related to smallholder farmers' health needs in terms of nutrition education or agricultural extension services. In addition they collaborate with a variety of private sector stakeholders ranging from seed companies to international non-profits dedicated towards improving livelihoods within rural areas.
