What does YWW mean in YOUTH

Youth Weekend West (YWW) is a regional gathering of youth from the Western United States and beyond. Every summer, YWW brings together hundreds of young people for an enrichment weekend of meaningful worship, inspirational teaching, fun, fellowship, and relationship-building.

Youth between the ages of 12–17 from across the United States and CBC congregation are welcome to attend YWW. Additionally, international guests are encouraged to participate in YWW activities as well.

YWW typically takes place over Memorial Day Weekend in May or late June/early July depending on the venue and availability. You should check the official website for exact dates each year.

The registration fee for an individual participant is $135; however, group discounts are available. The registration fee includes food and lodging during the weekend as well as transportation from nearby airports/university campuses that have been specified by the organizers. Other costs such as souvenirs and any additional travel will be covered by participants separately at their own expense.

Every year, YWW provides attendees with the opportunity to participate in various workshops, team-building activities, outdoor recreational activities (hiking/nature exploration), educational seminars, spiritual counselling sessions, prayer services/meditation sessions designed specifically for youth, movie nights/hangout time with peers from different backgrounds and cultures etc.

All attendees at a normal YWW event will be provided with shared dormitory-style living spaces which will also serve as our meeting spaces during daytime activities unless otherwise stated. We strive to provide comfortable accommodations in order to promote a safe yet enjoyable experience for all guests regardless of whether you’re attending solo or with friends/families.

Yes! We welcome all young people between 12-17 years old along with their families if they’d like to come along too! Our programs have activities geared toward children as young as 5 years old so it should be no problem for them to join us! However please note that childcare service might not always be provided during certain portions of these events due to limited resources.
