What does YLN mean in YOUTH

Youth Leadership Now (YLYN) is a program designed to empower and help young people become great leaders in their communities. The program provides resources, mentoring, workshops, and other activities to assist young people in developing their leadership skills. Through YLYN, youth develop the confidence to make positive changes in their lives and the world around them.

YLYN provides youth with access to learning tools, resources, mentorships and workshops that will support them acquire the skills necessary to become successful leaders in their communities. Youth are given the opportunity to build relationships with experienced professionals in various fields who can act as guides and inspirations on their journey of growth and development. These experiences help young people take ownership of their own successes and become more engaged citizens.

YLYN is open to all youth aged 14-18 years old who meet the eligibility requirements. Participants must demonstrate an interest in developing valuable leadership skills, a commitment to improving themselves and others around them, as well as a willingness to learn from experiences through active involvement.

The program offers a wide range of activities that aim at helping youth learn key leadership competencies such as public speaking, problem solving, communication skills and relationship building. To ensure that each participant reaches his/her full potential while gaining practical experience in applying these new found skills they also have access to workshop sessions where they can practice them further or get more information on particular topics related to leadership such as strategic planning or managing conflict resolution.

Yes, the program offers financial assistance for participants when necessary so they can attend events or access associated educational materials without having cost be a barrier inhibiting their growth or success. In order for young people who may not otherwise be able to take part due to economic constraints have access this financial aid is offered on an individual basis depending upon need.

At YLYN we work closely with mentors from various professional backgrounds such as business owners or executives, non-profit/ NGO founders or directors or even political activists so our participants are exposed to different experiences from unique perspectives outside of what they may already known. Apart from providing guidance and advice these mentors serve as role models for our youths which helps inspire them reach higher goals than what the perceived before joining us at YLYN.

No prior experience is necessary for participating in YLYN programs; however we encourage youth with prior knowledge or experience related field share it with peers so everyone benefits from mutual learning opportunities! Regardless of previous knowledge all members start off at same level allowing everyone room grow at rate preferred by individual based tangible goals set during initial evaluation process.

We strive make every effort protect safety our participants engage any potential risks during involvement within program context; however since majority work done through virtual platforms (online & offline) it's important note that digital security threats may exist which is why cybersecurity awareness remains one main priorities us.
