What does YHR mean in YOUTH

Youth for Human Rights (YHR) is a global movement of young people committed to creating awareness and taking action in the protection of the human rights of all individuals.

The goals of YHR are to empower young people with human rights education, create a culture of tolerance, peace and respect for everyone, as well as promote universal adherence to the principle that all persons are free to enjoy their rights, free from discrimination and prejudice.

YHR works by providing educational materials, organizing events, rallies and campaigns worldwide on issues such as child labor exploitation, gender inequality, drug use prevention and juvenile justice reform. They also collaborate with other organizations around the world in order to promote youth participation in promoting and protecting human rights.

YHR provides educational materials such as fact sheets and videos as well as events such as music festivals, marches and conferences where they discuss issues such as freedom from torture, economic justice and freedom from discrimination. They also offer online courses on key topics related to understanding universal human rights.
