What does WYM mean in MILITARY

The WYM website provides information and resources to current and former members of the United States Marine Corps Reserve's Young Marines program, as well as their families. It offers guidance on joining or restarting membership in the program, helpful advice while serving in the program, transitioning out of service, and other activities related to the organization's mission.

All youth between 8-18 years old are eligible to join this program. Additionally, individuals over 18 years old may serve in supportive roles such as adult volunteers or unit staff members.

Joining the Young Marines provides youth with valuable life skills such as leadership abilities, discipline and respect required to become successful citizens who can impact society in a positive manner. They also benefit from individual achievement awards and recognition opportunities through completion of various milestones and accomplishments within their ranks.

There is an annual dues cost associated with membership in each local unit which varies depending upon location; however these costs are often waived if basic requirements are met or additional assistance needed due to financial hardship can be discussed with your unit staff member or commander
