What does WYAA mean in YOUTH

WYAA stands for Westonka Youth Athletic Alliance, a youth sports organization based in Minnetonka, Minnesota. We offer a variety of youth sports programs, such as soccer, flag football, basketball and more. Our mission is to help children participate in activities that promote physical fitness and good sportsmanship.

We provide programming for children ages three through eighteen years old. We also offer summer camp programs for elementary aged students that are designed to create a fun and positive experience while teaching them the fundamentals of each sport we offer.

All of our team coaches are carefully chosen volunteers who undergo background checks and receive training from USA Football Federation certifying them as “Heads Up” certified coaches. Additionally, all of our assistant coaches have been trained in basic first aid safety practices along with CPR certification prior to joining any team/program at WYAA.

Depending on which program your child would like to join, he/she may require special equipment such as cleats or shin guards if they are playing a sport like soccer or baseball. Visit our website for an itemized list of recommended gear depending on the program your child signs up for. Other than protective equipment, all necessary supplies will be provided by WYAA.

Yes! We offer convenient payment plans so families can spread out payments over several months instead of having to pay the full amount up front. Payment plans must be setup before your child's registration is officially complete but we are always willing to work with families directly should extenuating circumstances arise after signing up.

Yes! We firmly believe that every child should have the opportunity to participate in organized sports regardless of their families' finances so we offer substantial financial assistance depending on need and household income levels.

Rescheduling games depends on availability but is typically done before hand in order to give everyone plenty of time to prepare correctly based off the new date(s). In cases where rescheduling is not possible due to lack of field availability or other unforeseen events then coaches typically set up extra practices so teams can still stay sharp despite losing valuable game time.
