What does WWIB mean in BUSINESS

Wharton Women in Business (WWIB) is a student-run organization that focuses on empowering and investing in the development of young female leaders. WWIB hosts a variety of events and initiatives, including mentorship programming, executive speaker series, career and professional skill workshops, and social & networking events to support its mission.

Any female Wharton undergraduate students or alumni are eligible for membership to WWIB. Non-Wharton members may also be admitted at the discretion of the Board of Directors.

WWIB's primary goals are to empower women by providing valuable resources for professional development and growth. To achieve these goals, we host a variety of events and initiatives such as mentorship programs, executive speaker series, career workshops, and social & networking events.

There are many ways to participate in WWIB! We invite all interested women to join our listserv so they can stay informed about upcoming events. Additionally, we have several ways for you to get involved directly - whether it's volunteering to help out with an event or offering your skills as an expert panelist or mentor.

Every year, we host several flagship programs that serve as an ongoing resource for members. Our award-winning Mentorship program offers guidance from experienced professionals while our Executive Speaker Series open access to successful executives sharing their experiences and advice with members. We also deliver workshops focused on helping develop skillsets related to topics such as resume building, public speaking, interviewing techniques etc.

Yes! In addition to our flagship programs, our members also gain access to exclusive resources such as corporate partnerships & job opportunities through our Career Resources channel; access to select activities & discounts; consulting projects; private sponsor dinners; free admission for select conferences & summits; close relationship with the Wharton Women Faculty network; leaderboard rewards system; and much more!

Absolutely! Each term there is a wide range of opportunities available where individuals can get involved with planning & promoting events as well as working on various organizational templates & communications pieces such as newsletters & website content updates etc., Depending on what activities volunteers take part in this could qualify towards receiving course credit hours too - please contact us at whartonwomeninbusiness@wharton upenn edu if you are interested in learning more!.

WWIB is dedicated exclusively towards empowering young female leaders within the Wharton community - therefore all members must identify as female only in order to be part of this organization - no exceptions apply. However non-Wharton students who identify as male may be admitted into certain donor roles subject to approval by the Board of Directors.
