What does WPWP mean in NEWS & MEDIA

WP Programs are Wharton's educational programs specifically designed for experienced working professionals. These programs provide an opportunity to further your knowledge and skillset without having to take a break from work or relocate. The breadth of courses available offers something for everyone, from established leaders looking to re-energize their career, to early and mid-career professionals who want to tap into the school's vast resources.

To apply for one of Wharton’s WP Programs, you will need to fill out an online application form with information about your educational background and professional experiences. You may also be asked to provide references as part of the application process. Once the application has been submitted, it can take up to four weeks for a decision on whether or not you have been accepted into the program.

All WP participants receive personalized guidance throughout their program experience. You will have access to faculty guidance, peer mentors, career advisors, alumni networks, and other members of the Wharton community who can help answer questions and offer advice along the way.

Tuition fees vary based on which program you enroll in and range from $2,000–$30,000 USD depending on degree type and duration of study. Additional costs may include curriculum materials, technology fees, and other administrative fees required by the university.

Yes! Upon successful completion of most WP Programs you will receive credits that can count towards additional degrees or certifications at accredited institutions around the world - including Wharton Executive Degree programs like The MBA or The GMBA.

Upon completing any one of Wharton’s Working Professional Programs you will receive multiple benefits - including exclusive access to our global alumni network with more than 91K graduates worldwide along with exclusive invitations to events globally hosted by Wharton faculty and staff representing thought leadership across multiple disciplines.

Depending on your program requirements you may be eligible for credit transfers from institutions outside of Wharton provided they meet certain academic requirements set forth by each individual school/program institution. For more information regarding credit transfers please contact your program advisor directly via email or phone call as soon as possible prior to course enrollment date.

If you fail any course within your WPP program then you must retake that same class before progressing onto additional coursework within that particular program level (for example if failing ‘Course 1’ then ‘Course 2’ must be taken first before moving onto ‘Course 3’). Retakes are allowed only once without penalty; future retakes require payment for tuition & materials again..

Yes! Every year Wharton provides partial tuition waivers through both merit-based scholarships & need-based financial aid awards which cover 25%-50% off tuition in some cases. Each individual level may also offer additional scholarship opportunities such as curriculum based awards which allow students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement & research capabilities within their respective field/major full ride scholarships.
