WMFA Goals

The goal of WMFA is to promote respect among fencers while teaching them the techniques necessary to become excellent fencers with correct form using traditional fencing styles and mindsets. Appropriate attire consists of jeans/sweatpants paired with comfortable athletic clothing such as t-shirts or tanks tops (no midriffs please!) Proper fencing footwear consisting of athletic shoes or sneakers must be worn when participating in any activities on our premises–this includes creating lessons attended indoors or outdoors near our facility. Additionally protective gear including gloves, masks, plastrons etcetra must be worn during any lesson involving physical contact between participants (epee/sabre). This safety equipment may be purchased through our store or provided free of charge through our lending programs.
