What does WLP mean in LAW & LEGAL

Wichita Legal Professionals (WLP) is a non-profit organization of legal support professionals dedicated to providing a comprehensive and quality service to the legal community. WLP promotes professionalism, education and networking among its members.

By joining WLP, you will have access to exclusive educational resources such as seminars and webinars. You will be part of an impressive network of peers across the nation that can provide insight on industry trends and best practices. In addition, you will receive discounts on products and services related to the legal profession.

We offer four different membership levels depending on your needs – Active Professional Member, Student Member, Retired/Inactive Member, and Board/Hospitality Committee Member. The benefits for each level vary accordingly.

You can become a member by filling out our membership application form online or downloading the PDF version and mailing it in with your payment. You also have the option to pay by credit card or PayPal over the phone if you choose to contact our office directly at (316) 681-2350.

Our active professional annual membership fee is $65 per year for individuals or $95 for two or more employees from one firm who join together - all additional employees from that same firm only pay an additional $30 each! Our other membership levels cost less, please refer to our Membership Levels page for more information about pricing options.

Yes! We offer volunteer opportunities at various events throughout the year where members are able to help out in various capacities such as staffing tables, setting up equipment, helping with registration etcetera. Additionally we host networking socials several times each year where non-members are welcome to attend as well.

At this time we do not have any open jobs however we do encourage individuals looking for employment in the legal support field to keep an eye on our website as new positions may become available from time-to-time that match their skillset.

Yes! We have an official LinkedIn Group specifically set up for WLP members where you can meet fellow members in person or virtually according to your geographic location or areas of practice. This group also serves as a platform for exchanging ideas about how best serve clients within the legal industry.

Absolutely - all current members are encouraged to renew their membership before it expires so they don't miss out on any exclusive privileges associated with being part of our organization but if your membership has already expired then you will still be able to renew without penalty within 90 days afterwards.
