What does WFPE mean in ENVIRONMENTAL

Wildland Fire Prevention Education (WFPE) is a public education initiative aiming to teach people about preventing and managing wildland fires.

Wildfires can cause significant destruction to homes, property and entire communities, so it is important for members of local communities to be aware of the risks associated with these events. WFPE provides knowledge and safety information on how to prevent and manage wildfires in order to keep people safe.

Attending a WFPE program will help you better understand the risks involved in living near an area prone to wildfires as well as provide guidance on ways you can help protect yourself, your family and your community should such an event occur. However, it cannot guarantee that you will be completely safe from all wildfire-related incidents or situations.
