History
Walt Disney World Speedway first opened on January 15th, 1995, with NASCAR hosting a race at the facility as part of its Winston Cup Series season that year. In 1997, the track was purchased by International Speedway Corporation (ISC) and in 1998 it became the home for Daytona 500 qualifying races. The track also hosted some Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series events in 2002–2004 as well as more NASCAR and IndyCar events during this time period.
