Wake Community Open Media (or WCOM) is an independent non-profit radio station that serves central North Carolina by bringing diverse music and ideas to the airwaves. Primarily run by volunteers, it was founded in 2002 with the mission of providing a voice for marginalized communities and offering diverse programming that isn’t represented in mainstream media outlets.
