What does WADA mean in UNCLASSIFIED

WADA is World Anti Doping Administration - an independent organization dedicated to preserving the integrity of sport through the elimination of doping and taking a unified stance against doping in sport.

WADA's mission is to lead a collaborative worldwide movement for doping-free sport. This includes harmonizing anti-doping policies, rules and regulations for both professional and amateur sports organizations across all countries, as well as conducting research into performance-enhancing substances and methods, developing educational programs, and offering support services for athletes around the world.

According to WADA's definition, "doping" includes any action or method used to artificially alter or improve an athlete's performance that is not allowed by their respective sporting code. These can include using illegal substances such as steroids or stimulants or engaging in prohibited practices such as blood transfusions or gene doping.

Some examples of banned substances under WADA are anabolic agents (such as testosterone), growth hormones (such as human chorionic gonadotropin), peptide hormones (such as erythropoietin or EPO), stimulants (such as amphetamines) and narcotics (such as opium). In addition, certain masking agents (such as diuretics) are prohibited when they are used with an intent to hide evidence of another prohibited substance.

Depending on the violation/offense committed, sanctions can range from warnings/cautions to disqualification from competitions/events to permanent bans from participating in a particular sport.
