What does VGM mean in SOFTWARE

Virtual Guitar Modelling (VGM) is a technology that replicates the sound and feel of playing a real guitar, using digital audio samples and software modelling. It offers an unprecedented level of realism, allowing players to create authentic guitar sounds in the studio and on stage.

VGM uses a combination of sophisticated algorithms and audio samples to replicate the nuances of playing a real guitar. It then applies this data to simulate various guitar-playing techniques such as strumming, picking, sliding, bending strings and more. With VGM, these effects can be achieved using either real-time or pre-recorded samples.

VGM enables guitarists to play with greater accuracy and realism than ever before. It also allows for quick experimentation with different sound effects such as overdrive, distortion, chorus, delay etc., which can be applied on the fly without having to manually adjust settings or carry additional hardware.
