Goals of the Program

The goal of the Volunteer Cadet Corps is to shape young adults into responsible citizens with strong moral character. Through this program they are taught to respect authority, prioritize responsibilities, remain dedicated in the face of adversity, practice personal discipline on a regular basis, work together as a team while utilizing proper communication methods, engage in physical activities that promote good health and exercise frequently, and develop their leadership abilities. This learning process seeks to benefit individuals by helping them become both successful participants of society as well as respected leaders within their communities.

Various Activities

The VCC offers numerous activities for all cadets involved in the program. Some examples include learning military drills like marching techniques; participating in field exercises such as air spaces operations; undergoing basic military training; participating in competitions like drill nights or rifle matches; attending specific events such as formal dinners or ceremonial parades; going on excursions that involve orienteering or camping trips; partaking in educational courses like foreign language classes or CPR/First Aid Certification programs; conducting individual research projects related to civics and public service topics; volunteering at community service projects such as food drives or beach cleanup days; or leading regular interactive workshops about personal development strategies.
