The University of Southeastern Philippines traces its roots back to 1967 when it was founded as an extension branch of the University of the Philippines System located in Manila. In 1979 it was turned into a regular state university with six campuses: Tagum City Campus, Panabo City Campus, Fort Digital Campus (now Digos City), Habana Extension Center (in Tibungco), Compostela Valley Province campus (in Mawab) and Nabunturan province campus. The different campuses offer courses mainly from undergraduate studies; however a few postgraduate courses are available at certain campuses.
