Mission

The mission of UIPE is to provide members with up-to-date knowledge, information and resources related to professional engineering practice, while advocating for improved infrastructure and economic development opportunities throughout Uganda. UIPE also works to promote ethical standards and public safety by creating public awareness campaigns regarding various engineering projects taking place across the country.

Membership Requirements

In order to become a member of UIPE, one must possess a degree or equivalent qualification in engineering or related field from an accredited educational institution or equivalent experience; have at least two years' post qualifying experience as an engineer; be registered with UIPE as an Engineer in Training (EIT);and pay the annual membership fee. Once approved as a full member by UIPE Board of Trustees, applicants will be qualified to practice their profession as professional engineers within Uganda.
