What does UG mean in UNCLASSIFIED

The Upper Grades program is an educational initiative designed to maximize the academic and social potential of students in grades 7-10. This program uses a project-based approach to learning that encourages students to explore their passions while developing key skills across all subject areas. Through this program, we strive to prepare our students for success in college and beyond.

All middle and high school students are encouraged to apply for the Upper Grade Program. We are looking for motivated and ambitious learners who are eager to develop their knowledge and skills in a supportive environment.

In order to be considered for admission, applicants will need to submit a completed application form, transcripts from previous grade levels, SAT (or ACT) scores, two recommendation letters, and any other required information requested by the school.

The curriculum of our Upper Grade Program consists of both traditional academic classes such as math, science, language arts and social studies as well as elective courses like psychology, art history, theater performance and computer programming.

Absolutely! Our certified teachers offer one-on-one support and guidance if needed throughout the course of study. Additionally, we host afterschool workshops on topics such as test prep or essay writing which can provide additional assistance if needed.

Homework expectations depend on each student's individual needs; however, we generally ask that each student allocate at least 4-6 hours per week towards completing any necessary assignments.

Yes! We not only offer academic enrichment activities but also a variety of clubs including Robotics Club, Mock Trial Team and Drama Club amongst many others. All activities are voluntary but strongly encourage participation as they offer an opportunity to learn new skills and network with peers outside of class.
