What does TPF mean in GENERAL

All eligible third parties that are registered with Elections Canada can apply for funding from TPF. This includes registered political parties, candidates, third party advertisers and registered associations engaged in fostering voter participation.

There is no maximum limit to the amount of money that can be obtained from TPF. However, it should be noted that all applicants must submit an online application and provide financial statements showing proof of their financial needs prior to receiving any funds.

Applications are assessed based on a number of criteria including the relevance of the proposed project, feasibility of the initiative and the level of need demonstrated by the applicant. Applicants must also demonstrate how their project will benefit Canada’s democratic process.
