Overview

Taut Line Newsletter (TLN) was a popular monthly publication that featured in-depth coverage of marine-related topics such as boat construction, sailboat maintenance and safety, cruising destinations, navigation techniques and marine industry news. The magazine was owned by the Taut Line Company and published from approximately 1989 to 2003. Its editors had originally worked in various branches of the maritime industry including naval mining studies and yacht building projects before deciding to create TLN. The magazine incorporated expertise gained from these experiences into its articles in order to provide its readership with thorough information on marine topics from knowledgeable authorities.
