TDSS was established in 1977 as an amalgamation of seven area high schools located within the Timiskaming District School Board jurisdiction. Since then it has grown from offering just four core academic subjects (maths, sciences, history/geography and English) to providing a comprehensive range of both academic and extracurricular programs. With over 1000 students enrolled at TDSS from Kindergarten up to Grade 12; the school serves a wide variety of communities from within this region.
