What does TCCCC mean in CANCER

The Tennessee Comprehensive Cancer Control Coalition (TCCCC) is a non-profit organization with the mission to reduce the burden of cancer in Tennessee and to improve the quality of life for those living with and beyond a cancer diagnosis. TCCCC works to unite diverse perspectives and resources within the state towards developing strategies that will reduce cancer incidence, mortality, disparities, and suffering across Tennessee.

Any individual or organization who shares our mission to reduce the burden of cancer in Tennessee may become a member of TCCCC. Membership is voluntary and there are no membership dues associated with joining.

The TCCCC organizes several initiatives, events, conferences, campaigns, and policy initiatives geared towards cancer awareness, research and prevention. Additionally, we also provide trainings and technical assistance related to evidence-based interventions for organizations working in cancer control.

The TCCCC website offers an array of helpful tools for individuals looking for information about cancer topics such as risk factors, prevention methods, treatment options, clinical trials as well as resources related to caregiver support. We also provide access to electronic newsletter updates with information on new developments in cancer control research and programs.

The TCCCC provides information through our website about current cancer issues such as prevention methods, treatments options, clinical trials and other resources that may be beneficial to individuals living with or beyond a diagnosis of any type of cancer. We also offer support services such as providing telephone consultation from our staff members who specialize in patient navigation services.

The TCCC works closely with local organizations in an effort to increase awareness about reducing health disparities across all communities throughout Tennessee. Our efforts helps communities identify opportunities for improvement which will eventually lead to reduction in risk factors for cancers such as smoking cessation programs that target high risk populations through education on healthy lifestyle choices.

No; membership fee is not required nor collected by TCCC however donations maybe accepted in order fund specific projects related to our mission statement such as providing access special events or training sessions available through our organization. All donations are solely used to finance charitable activities under 501 (c)(3).
