What does TAIC mean in UNCLASSIFIED

The Tulsa Area Immunization Coalition (TAIC) is a local organization dedicated to promoting and protecting the health of children in Tulsa County by improving immunization rates. We focus on advocating for and providing resources to better access immunizations.

TAIC focuses on increasing the awareness of immunizations, connecting people to immunizations, and creating a more equitable distribution of vaccines within our community. We strive to advocate for our members with state-level decision makers in order to ensure that every child has access to safe and effective vaccines.

There are many ways you can help support TAIC’s mission! You can volunteer at one of our events or programs, donate funds, or spread knowledge about the importance of vaccinations. You can also join us at one of our meetings or become a member of TAIC itself.

Absolutely! We offer educational programs such as science-based presentations, vaccination advocacy strategies, and promotional materials about immunization topics. In addition, we also organize free vaccine clinics throughout the year to provide access to necessary vaccinations.

Through our free vaccine clinics we provide eligible individuals with access to no cost vaccines when available from vaccine manufacturers or other entities that supply vaccines to non-profit organizations like ours. Yes, we certainly do. If you’re insured through Medicaid or SoonerCare then your child may be covered for most routine vaccinations at no additional cost (through age 18). For those not covered under either program there are still options available including federal Vaccines For Children (VFC) program or private insurance depending on plan type. The Vaccines For Children Program (VFC) is a federally funded program administered through Oklahoma State Department of Health which provides no cost vaccinations for eligible children aged 18 years old and younger who do not have adequate health insurance coverage for all recommended childhood vaccinations.
