During treat and release procedures, medical staff will typically provide basic medical treatments such as providing medication, setting bones, stitching up wounds, cleaning out scrapes or scratches, administering IV fluids, providing oxygen therapy if needed, etc. The goal is usually just to stabilize the patient until they can return home safely.

It depends on the situation; however most patients can expect to leave within 24 hours after receiving treatment unless there are complications with their conditions that require further monitoring or testing at the hospital. Once all tests have been completed successfully and any necessary medications have been provided, then individuals should feel free to leave upon being discharged from staff members at the hospital or healthcare facility.
