What Is BCCS?

BCCS stands for Boston Collegiate Charter School, which began operations as a public charter school in 2004. It currently serves more than 650 students in grades six through twelve, making it one of the largest charter schools in Massachusetts. The school offers an alternative to traditional public schools by providing a personalized culture tailored to meet the needs of each student. They focus on building a strong community by emphasizing mutual respect and collaboration while also providing outstanding academics and extracurricular opportunities.

The curriculum is based on academic standards established by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. In addition, teachers implement research-based strategies to foster student learning including project-based learning, active participation, technology integration, hands-on activities, and more.
