What does SYF mean in YOUTH

SYF offers several different age-based divisions including Flag, PeeWee, Midget, Junior Varsity, and Varsity. Each division has its own specific rules related to size, weight limits and other regulations designed to ensure safety and competitive fairness.

Flag Football is open to kids ages 4-7; PeeWee Division is open to kids 8-10; Midget Division is open to 11-13 year olds; Junior Varsity is open for 14-16 year olds; and Varsity Division is open for 17-18 year olds.

Yes, there are fees associated with joining SYF. Fees vary depending on the division your child joins, but generally cover the cost of uniforms and equipment as well as program administration costs. Financial assistance may be available in certain circumstances. Please contact the league office for more information about fees or financial aid options.

Participating in SYF offers numerous benefits such as skill development, teamwork building skills, physical fitness improvement, camaraderie among teammates, and leadership training. Additionally this program allows children an opportunity to be part of something larger than themselves while having fun at the same time!

All league participants must have a mouthguard prior to their first practice with SYF if they intend to participate in contact drills or scrimmages. Each player must also wear shoulder pads and appropriate footwear depending on their respective age group/division (cleats vs sneakers).

Every effort will be made by coaches ensure that all players receive equal playing time throughout games during regular season play when possible. Playoffs may differ slightly depending on how far a team advances within each tournament format.
