For over 25 years, SYBA has been providing boys and girls between the ages of 6 through 14 a great atmosphere for playing and learning about America's pastime. Our mission is to provide an enjoyable, competitive, yet safe environment for kids to develop their skills, practice sportsmanship and learn teamwork.

Objectives
The primary goal of SYBA is to promote good sportsmanship, teamwork, skill development and fun for all participants. We strive to give our players a positive experience by teaching them the fundamentals of baseball in a friendly atmosphere. To help young players reach their goals along with maximum participation by families and community sponsors we provide age appropriate instruction during practices and games as well as offering various baseball camps and clinics throughout the year. In addition SYBA offers opportunities for local high school players to gain career experience by working as umpires or coaches at our games.
Programs
SYBA provides various programs throughout the season that are designed to keep our players excited about baseball while continuing the development of their skills in an fun atmosphere. The Recreational League offers teams of 7-14 year olds an opportunity to play local games against other teams in towns around Shakopee while also hosting an occasional tournament during the season. The Advanced League offers more competitive play at a higher rhythm that regularly includes exhibitions against college teams or minor league organizations. Whatever level a player is interested in — from beginner leagues all the way up our elite travel teams — SYBA has something for everyone!
