What does SSCC mean in NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS

Sullivan Senior Citizen Center (SSCC) is a non-profit organization that seeks to provide assistance to individuals aged 55 and older in the area. SSCC offers a variety of programs and services specifically designed for seniors. These include health care services such as primary care visits, dental exams, mental health counseling, and more; educational classes like computer skills training and art classes; home repair; transportation assistance; recreation activities; and more.

There are many ways to get involved with SSCC! We welcome volunteers from the community who want to help out our members by providing companionship, helping them run errands or engage in activities, working on projects around the center, or staffing events. Additionally, we accept financial donations that support our mission of providing high quality services to our members.

The frequency of assessments varies depending on the individual’s needs but typically they occur every 6 months unless changes in condition necessitate additional evaluations sooner than that point. SSCC provides several resources specifically designed for family caregivers such as education materials on caring for elderly loved ones; links to other organizations that offer caregiver-related assistance; access to legal document preparation assistance such as wills and living trusts; and respite care options which give caregivers the opportunity for a break while still ensuring their loved one’s safety and wellbeing is maintained at all times.

Absolutely! At SSCC we understand how important staying physically active is for seniors so we offers a variety of recreational activities geared towards different abilities levels ranging from light exercise classes like yoga or tai chi all the way up through vigorous physical activity including strength training sessions or walking/jogging groups. We also organize social outings such as movie nights or game nights giving our members opportunities connect with one another within the community.

No - although we do offer some housing-related resources such as helping our members find facilities where they can stay if needed due to medical concerns or financial reasons - we do not directly manage any housing complexes ourselves.

Yes – through our nutrition program we provide access to nutritious meals either at one of our designated meal sites or delivered directly to members’ homes depending on individual circumstances.
