What does BBN mean in NEWS & MEDIA

BBN stands for Black and Brown News. It is an organization that strives to provide up-to-date news, stories, and updates regarding issues facing the Black and Brown communities. By raising awareness of these topics, BBN aims to spark conversations that will work towards creating change.

BBN provides daily news articles, podcasts, opinion pieces, videos and other media content through their website as well as their social media platforms. In addition, they host various events throughout the year that focus on different topics relevant to the Black and Brown communities.

Anyone is welcome to submit content for publication on the BBN website or social media accounts. All submitted content should display a level of professionalism and adhere to certain guidelines set by the organization. No prior experience in journalism or writing is required in order to submit your work for consideration with BBN. You only have to meet our submission guidelines before submitting your piece and make sure it follows professional standards before it gets published by us.

Currently, all contributions made to BBN are done so on a volunteer basis; there is no financial compensation offered at this time. However, you may be eligible for other perks such as having your work featured prominently online or through any of our partners' social media outlets if we accept it for publication.

New content is posted regularly on the site; usually once a week or depending on how frequently events occur in the news cycle related to the Black and Brown communities. In addition, occasional new posts are added whenever breaking news happens or when significant events take place within those communities that need urgent coverage.

Yes! Donations are accepted both through our website as well as through our partner organizations who help support us financially throughout the year so we can continue providing up-to-date coverage within these communities. Donations are very much appreciated!

We primarily focus on relevant issues within both Black & Brown communities - such things like politics & policy related matters, economics & finance related topics, education & career development topics, health & wellness matters etc.. Having said this however - we also cover general interest topics such music culture & lifestyle trends within those same communities.
