What does SPG mean in SOCIETIES

The Society for Propagating the Gospel (SPG) is a religious organization dedicated to evangelizing people around the world. It was founded in 1701 by Thomas Bray, an Anglican missionary who was passionate about bringing faith and hope to the forgotten corners of society. SPG works with churches in many different countries, partnering with them to create programs that both share the gospel and meet needs in communities.

SPG’s mission is to "go into all the world and preach the good news of Jesus Christ," which they do through evangelism, church-planting, discipleship, relief work, and educational outreach. While they focus on sharing the word of God first and foremost, they also strive to help people achieve self-sufficiency by providing training and resources that empower them to reach their full potential.

SPG seeks to help people in need by creating sustainable development projects that both share the gospel and meet tangible needs within communities. These projects include providing medical aid, digging wells for clean drinking water, building schools and orphanages, and providing scholarships so children can receive an education. In addition, SPG also works with local leaders to create job training programs so people can provide for themselves and their families.

As an evangelical Christian mission organization, SPG provides spiritual guidance based on Biblical teachings while working with local churches around the world. They seek to empower individuals as well as whole communities by sharing Biblical truth and principles that bring hope amidst difficult situations. Through evangelism efforts such as preaching services or Bible study groups as well as practical assistance such as providing food relief or helping build houses, they aim to bring lasting transformation spiritually as well as physically where it is needed most.

Yes - we would love it if you were able to join us overseas (in some cases free travel may be available!) however if this isn't possible there are still plenty of opportunities available closer to home such as joining one of our regional teams here in UK & Ireland.
