What does BBEA mean in ASSOCIATIONS

BBEA is a professional student organization at Bethel University for students interested in business and economics. The organization provides students with opportunities for networking, internships, and leadership development. We are committed to helping equip our members with the skills necessary to compete in the ever-changing job landscape.

You can become a member of the BBEA by submitting an application through our website or in person at one of our events. Once your application has been approved, you will be added to our membership list and become eligible for all of our benefits and activities.

The BBEA holds various events throughout the year such as guest speakers, workshops, panel discussions, and field trips. Additionally, we have professional development opportunities such as resume reviews and mock interviews available to members.

The BBEA works closely with local businesses to identify internship opportunities that match our members' interests. Our current list of available internships includes positions in marketing, finance, accounting, strategic planning, operations management, human resources, IT systems analysis and much more!

Our team posts updates about upcoming events on social media as well as email blasts for members who opt into our mailing list when signing up for membership. We also post event details directly on our website homepage so that everything is easily accessible from one place.

Yes! As a member of BBEA you can have access to exclusive discounts on professional services such as career coaching or managed resume reviews. Additionally, you will gain access to career resources such as employer connections, job postings/searches, industry research/reports, news articles/blogs related to your chosen profession(s), mentor matching services etcetera including other valuable career resources offered by us.

The exact meeting schedule varies each semester due to varying schedules set by faculty advisors and club officers but generally meetings are held bi-weekly during regular academic terms typically starting around late August or early September until mid December or first week in January followed by mid February until graduation day typically around mid May every academic year unless otherwise noted on our website calendar page which is updated regularly throughout the school year so please refer back often.

We ask that all attendees come dressed professionally in business casual attire for all meetings hosted by us regardless if it's an informal gathering or required event attendance since dressing appropriately helps cultivate an environment conducive towards collaboration between students & mentors creating positive impressions making it easier not only better represent yourself but also be taken more seriously creating an atmosphere more welcoming towards networking efforts.
