What does SDR mean in UNIVERSITIES

Student Disability Resources (SDR) is an advocacy, support, and educational service center that works with students who have disabilities. The staff and services available help ensure students have access to the necessary resources they need to remain productive in their studies while at the same time being aware of potential accommodations.

To receive the services you need from SDR, you must first register with the office by submitting a service request form. This will allow us to take a look at your individual needs and provide you with resources that best suit you.

All of our services are completely free for all disabled students who are registered with the office.

We offer multiple ways for students to communicate with us some of which include email address listed on websites as well as hotline numbers available 24/7 in case of emergencies or urgent matters needing quick attention. Additionally, our office hours are posted online so feel free to come by anytime during open hours or make an appointment via email if it better suits your schedule!

Aside from providing academic accommodations such as interpreters or note-takers, Student Disability Resources offers a wide range of support tailored specifically disabled student's needs such transportation assistance or guidance navigating through college systems like housing applications and financial aid paperwork processing etc.. Yes! Depending on individual's disability type, certain disposable materials might be provided free charge such Braille paper rolls, ear plugs / noise cancelling headphones etc..
