What does SCAC mean in ATHLETICS

The SCAC organizes various sports competitions and leagues, ranging from individual to team events. It is responsible for organizing competitive events in football, baseball, basketball, volleyball, and other sports within its member countries. Additionally, the SCAC promotes friendly sportsmanship between its members by actively encouraging participation in international tournaments and events.

Membership of the SCAC is open to all national teams or federations from eight countries in South America; Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay, Peru Uruguay and Venezuela. Currently Bolivia is an associate member of the SCAC.

Members benefit from improved access to international-level competition, improved sport opportunities at a grass-roots level to develop local talent and resources for their respective organizations. Additionally each member has access to coaching clinics which ensures development in all areas related to sport whilstalso reducing costs associated with athlete travel when attending events organized by the SCAC.

Yes. The SCAC encourages its members to participate in international tournaments held outside its jurisdiction, such as those sanctioned by FIFA or CONMEBOL. In addition to this involvement in these events allows members of the SCAC to make financial gains through sponsorships and other deals that are usually exclusive rights of high tier football governing bodies.

No, there is no set fee associated with joining the SCAC. However each member organization will be required to pay a nominal annual fee which will be used towards covering administrative costs associated with running competitions and other activities organized under the banner ofthe SCAC.

The General Assembly meets twice yearly during spring and autumn periods while smaller executive committee meetings take place more regularly throughout the year depending on need or urgency.

Yes! The SCAC hosts multiple championships each year across its range of disciplines including football, basketball and volleyball on both club level and national teams as well as track & field events at a regional level. There are also youth championships for age groups 12 – 18 years old available.

Yes! All athletes who take part in any event organized by the SCCR are covered medically through discounts arranged with providers around South America. This covers pre-existing conditions as well as accidents sustained during event play.

In order to compete in one of our championships players must first be registered with their home country’s association affiliated to us either directly or through an associate agreement suchas CONMEBOL or FIFA.
