What does SBPA mean in POLICE

The Sussex Black Police Association (SBPA) is an organisation dedicated to representing and providing support for black police officers, staff and their families in the region. It works to ensure that that both current and future generations of officers benefit from a work environment which is both free from discrimination or bias, as well as being fair and representative.

SBPA seeks to promote understanding between policing authorities and their surrounding communities through activities such as community outreach initiatives, youth programmes, cultural events, mediation seminars, interfaith dialogue sessions etc. Moreover, it strives to provide support services for its members by establishing forums for networking and mentorship opportunities.
