What does SAS mean in UNIVERSITIES

The Students' Association of Singapore (SAS) is an umbrella body set up to represent college and university students in Singapore. SAS provides a platform for student leaders to express their views, proactively engage stakeholders, and work with various organisations in the implementation of initiatives and projects that benefit student development.

SAS works closely with various public institutions, private organisations, educational institutes, as well as government bodies to provide students in Singapore with resources and programmes to enhance their learning experience. SAS also serves as a bridge between the student body and external stakeholders by advocating for the interests of students on policy matters and relevant developments in society.

All college/university students studying full-time or part-time in Singapore are eligible to join SAS. However, SAS encourages prospective members to approach their respective school’s Student Union or Association if they wish to participate in activities organised by these local students’ clubs.

SAS offers a comprehensive range of programmes tailored for college/university students which include internships, mentorship opportunities, leadership initiatives, scholarships, events & conferences, research & advocacy programs and more. These activities are designed to equip its members with important skillsets which they may need during their education journey as well as beyond.

Joining the Students' Association of Singapore is free! Prospective members can do so at any time by simply filling up an online registration form on our website. Membership fees may be applicable for certain activities organised by the association hence interested members should refer directly to their programme page for more information.
